The photo to the left is a shot of my planner, and as you can tell, the 2009 spring semester starts tomorrow.
Even though my schedule is relatively easy this term, I have to admit I am sweating over Human Anatomy and Physiology II. The teacher I am taking it with is rumored to be pretty harsh. I try not to pay attention when people say, "You have who?!? Wow. Good luck." but it is intimidating. I guess I'll see for myself tomorrow.
Hopefully I have something nice to report back. :)
This most certainly is not the post I had envisioned with which I would start this blog (or restart it, as the case may be).
I woke up this morning [to be honest, it was almost noon...hey, school starts back in three days and I need to squeeze in all the sleep I can]. Mom, Levi, and a family friend were in the living room. Levi had the most pitiful look on his face, like a bully had just stolen his bike. I ask him what was wrong and he lifted up a small bag of ice off his finger.
"It's stuck," he said, talking about the stainless steel ring his girlfriend Brittany had given him. "I was fucked up last night and I put all my rings on and then I fell asleep. Now this one won't come off."
I wasn't 100% sure what to say to him. Not "Sorry" because he souldn't be drinking or "whatever" anyway. Not "That's what you get" because it sounded too mean.
Instead, I just openned my mouth and this gem fell out: "Well, I bet you're glad you didn't put it on your penis."
Yeah, I'm a poet.
After about an hour of cutting the ring with a Dremel tool, which, I am told, was very unpleasent, it was still stuck. The ring was cut but it wouldn't come off. They tried using a screw driver as a wedge but still nothing. I went to my bedroom and found a small pair of needle nose pliars that I use for beading and, with those, they were able to stetch the ring by wedging in the plairs and then opening them.
Levi was very happy.
