QotD: Chez Me

If you could open a restaurant, any kind you want, what would it look like and what's on the menu?

There are several thoughts here...

1. If I lived in Amsterdam I would obviously open a cute little hash bar that served up....well...HASH...and hash brownies, and anything else I could figure out to put hash in...obviously there would be plenty of good munchies, and a bar. It would be furnished with lots of velvet and faux fur cushy furniture, lots of big floor pillows, and some of those cool hanging pod chairs....and hammocks..for the naps that would ensue...(by the way...this is totally a dream of mine...one day I WILL go to Amsterdam..)

2. When we build our dome home in Austin I would like to open an all organic vegan eatery. We would serve up lots of fresh raw vegan foods, seitan, vegan stir fries with brown rice, lots of fresh fruit salads, and of course vegan desserts, cakes, cookies, and the likes. We would have fresh baked homemeade breads daily to go with the piping hot vegan soups..YUM.

3. If I ever move back to Louisiana I would open a gumbo kitchen....I would serve..well..GUMBO! Made with fresh andouille sausage, okra, chicken, and all the other good stuff that goes in it. We would also serve homemade fresh breads, dirty rice, boiled crawfish, fried fish, and chips, shrimps, crabs, etouffee, oh and that bad ass king cake you get to eat around mardi gras...we would serve biegnets for breakfast. With good coffee and sweet tea. YUMMY.
